When I was twelve years old my parents bought me a Kodak Instamatic camera for Christmas. There was four of us kids in the family and we only ever received one gift each so receiving this camera was extra special to me. It came with a roll of film and three of us kids went into the backyard playing in the fort and the snow and I used the whole roll of film in half an hour. That really didn't impress my parents too much and I quickly learned that you had to pay to develop the pictures whether they turned out or not but it gave me a lifelong love of taking pictures. My parents, brother and sister have all passed on from cancer so looking at all the photos I have taken over the years means a lot to me and brings back special memories.
I know that people today take pictures with their phones but I still like to print my photos to look at them and also make photo albums for each of my children so that they too can share the memories.
