Diving into the depths of the ocean, OMEGA unveils the Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black,” a groundbreaking 45.5 mm timepiece seamlessly blending the functionalities of a GMT model and a diving watch. The incorporation of red serves a dual purpose, symbolizing the first color to vanish at a depth of approximately 5 meters and adding a vibrant accent to the design.

Crafted from a single block of matte ceramic, the case body showcases OMEGA's expertise in ceramic technology. A distinctive unidirectional bezel, a fusion of rubber and ceramic, introduces a burst of color to the initial 15 minutes, complemented by the rest of the diving scale in Liquidmetal™. Red rubber injections emphasize the OMEGA logo on the crown and the helium escape valve symbol.

The black ceramic dial features a GMT ring with red Arabic numerals, while the hands and indexes, crafted from 18K white gold, are coated with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. OMEGA introduces an innovative oriented caseback, positioned perfectly through the patented ceramic Naiad Lock. Additional details include an alveol pattern on the screw-in caseback and a black rubber strap with red stitching and anti-bacterial treatment. Water-resistant to an impressive 60 bar, the Planet Ocean “Deep Black” is powered by the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8906, having successfully passed the stringent 8 tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) to achieve Master Chronometer status.
