For the first time ever, IWC presents a Pilot's Chronograph with a movement from the 69000-calibre family, housed in a reduced case size with a diameter of 41 millimetres. The IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre is a rugged chronograph movement with a classic column wheel design. It displays stopped hours and minutes in two subdials at "9 o'clock" and "12 o'clock". The bidirectional pawl-winding system builds up a power reserve of 46 hours. With a stainless-steel case, black dial and brown calfskin strap, the colours of this functional chronograph were inspired by the Spitfire's cockpit. A soft-iron inner case effectively shields the movement from magnetic fields.

Technical information about this watch
IWC Schaffhausen Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire
60M / 6 ATM water resistance
Water resistance indicates a watch's ability to withstand moisture and water. Ratings are measured in metres (M) or atmospheres (ATM). For instance, 30M (3 ATM) is suitable for light splashes, while 100M (10 ATM) and above are ideal for swimming and diving. Regular maintenance helps retain water resistance over time.
IWC Calibre 69380 Automatic movement
Watch movements are the mechanisms that power timekeeping, coming in automatic, manual, and quartz types. Automatic movements self-wind using wrist motion, manual movements require hand-winding, and quartz movements are battery-powered for precise timekeeping. Each type offers unique benefits, catering to different preferences and lifestyles.
41mm case size
Case size, measured in millimetres (mm), impacts the watch's look and fit. Men's watches typically range from 38mm to 46mm, and women's from 26mm to 36mm. Larger cases make a bold statement, while smaller cases offer a classic look. Choosing the right size ensures comfort and style.
46 hours power reserve
Power reserve is the duration a watch runs on a full wind or charge. Mechanical watches usually offer 40 to 80 hours, with some extending to several days. Quartz watches, powered by batteries, last several years. Knowing the power reserve helps maintain accurate timekeeping.
