In 1968, LONGINES introduced the Ultra-Chron Diver, the first dive watch featuring a high-frequency movement. LONGINES was already a trailblazer in high-frequency technology, having developed the first device capable of measuring 1/10th of a second in 1910. In 1959, the brand created the first high-beat wristwatch movement, an observatory chronometer that set new standards for accuracy. The modern Ultra-Chron pays tribute to the design and professional diving features of the 1968 original. These chronometer-certified timepieces are powered by an exclusive LONGINES calibre with a silicon balance-spring, ensuring magnetic resistance and exceptional performance.
