Technical information about this watch

Grand Seiko Evolution 9 "Tentagraph" 43.2mm

A water resistance icon in the shape of a shield. On the shield is a drop of water and beside the water are two lines that looks like waves.

100M / 10 ATM water resistance

Water resistance indicates a watch's ability to withstand moisture and water. Ratings are measured in metres (M) or atmospheres (ATM). For instance, 30M (3 ATM) is suitable for light splashes, while 100M (10 ATM) and above are ideal for swimming and diving. Regular maintenance helps retain water resistance over time.

GS Calibre 9SC5 Automatic winding

Caliber 9SC5 powers the Grand Seiko Tentagraph, the brand’s first mechanical chronograph, introduced in 2023. This high-beat movement runs at 10 beats per second and offers a 72-hour power reserve—even when the chronograph is active—making it the longest-running ten-beat chronograph in the industry. It features a Dual Impulse Escapement, twin barrels, and exceptional precision.

A watch case size icon that shows the head of the watch with an arrow on the dial giving an indication as to the diameter of the dial.

43mm case size

Case size, measured in millimetres (mm), impacts the watch's look and fit. Men's watches typically range from 38mm to 46mm, and women's from 26mm to 36mm. Larger cases make a bold statement, while smaller cases offer a classic look. Choosing the right size ensures comfort and style.

A power reserve icon that looks like a gauge that indicates how much power is left.

72 hours power reserve

Power reserve is the duration a watch runs on a full wind or charge. Mechanical watches usually offer 40 to 80 hours, with some extending to several days. Quartz watches, powered by batteries, last several years. Knowing the power reserve helps maintain accurate timekeeping.
