What methods do you use for gold testing?
We use XRF (X-ray fluorescence, which is a non-destructive analytical technique used to determine the elemental composition of a material) and acid testing to determine purity accurately.

How long does gold testing take?
Our state-of-the-art Vanta GX Precious Metal Analyzer can complete it's scan in a few minutes. Should more testing be required to determine an item's purity, additional time will be required.

Will testing damage my gold items?
Our Vanta GX Precious Metal Analyzer x-ray's your item and determines its composition. This is a non-destructive test. However, if the item is heavily plated, further testing may be required which may include acid testing.
