Since 1994, chronographs have been a key component of IWC Schaffhausen’s Pilot’s Watches lineup. This Pilot’s Watch Chronograph showcases a stainless steel case, 43 millimeters in diameter, along with a black dial adorned with rhodium-plated hands. Crafted in the likeness of easily readable cockpit instruments, the high-contrast dial boasts large Arabic numerals and a triangle index marker at 12 o’clock. Luminescent elements ensure effortless time-reading, even in low light or challenging visibility conditions. Powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber, a precise and sturdy chronograph movement fashioned in a classic column-wheel design, it can measure stop or aggregate times for up to 12 hours. Hour and minute displays are positioned at 9 o’clock and 12 o’clock, respectively, while a small red-hand second counter is situated at 6 o’clock. The self-winding movement, with a 46-hour power reserve, is showcased through the sapphire glass back. With a water resistance of 10 bar, this chronograph is paired with a black calfskin strap featuring a pin buckle. Thanks to the integrated EasX-CHANGE® system, swapping the strap is a breeze, requiring no extra tools.

Technical information about this watch
IWC Schaffhausen Pilot's Watch Chronograph 43
100M / 10 ATM water resistance
Water resistance indicates a watch's ability to withstand moisture and water. Ratings are measured in metres (M) or atmospheres (ATM). For instance, 30M (3 ATM) is suitable for light splashes, while 100M (10 ATM) and above are ideal for swimming and diving. Regular maintenance helps retain water resistance over time.
IWC Calibre 69385 Automatic movement
Watch movements are the mechanisms that power timekeeping, coming in automatic, manual, and quartz types. Automatic movements self-wind using wrist motion, manual movements require hand-winding, and quartz movements are battery-powered for precise timekeeping. Each type offers unique benefits, catering to different preferences and lifestyles.
43mm case size
Case size, measured in millimetres (mm), impacts the watch's look and fit. Men's watches typically range from 38mm to 46mm, and women's from 26mm to 36mm. Larger cases make a bold statement, while smaller cases offer a classic look. Choosing the right size ensures comfort and style.
46 hours power reserve
Power reserve is the duration a watch runs on a full wind or charge. Mechanical watches usually offer 40 to 80 hours, with some extending to several days. Quartz watches, powered by batteries, last several years. Knowing the power reserve helps maintain accurate timekeeping.
