The Ref. 1004 (a sleek time-only piece) and Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated dive chronograph) weren’t just about exploring the underwater world—they were about looking good doing it. Today, that philosophy is still at the core of the Superocean Heritage. It’s got the soul of the 1950s, but designed for today. The latest Superocean Heritage builds on everything that made the original distinctive—and sharpens it. The collection introduces the B31 automatic movement, Breitling’s first exclusive three-hand manufacture caliber. A ceramic-inlayed bezel adds exceptional scratch resistance, while integrated mesh-metal or mesh-rubber bracelets fit snugly against the case, secured with folding clasps for a clean, watertight finish. A discreet date window at six o’clock and the original signature hands—arrow for hours, spear for minutes—ensure legibility and balance, above or below the surface.

IJL extends this warranty by an additional 3 years to Breitling watches we sell, for a total of 5 years of coverage at no additional cost.

Extended Warranty for Manufacture Movements

Breitling watches or chronographs with a Breitling Manufacture mechanical movement come with a 5-year International Manufacture Movement Warranty, covering any manufacturing defects in the movement. Water-resistance tests must be conducted every two years from the date of purchase to maintain warranty coverage.

Water resistance indicates a watch's ability to withstand moisture and water. Ratings are measured in metres (M) or atmospheres (ATM). For instance, 30M (3 ATM) is suitable for light splashes, while 100M (10 ATM) and above are ideal for swimming and diving. Regular maintenance helps retain water resistance over time.

Breitling Calibre B31 Automatic winding

Breitling Calibre B31 is Breitling’s first in-house, time-only mechanical movement. It boasts a 78-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement features a free-sprung balance wheel and a skeletonized bidirectional rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback. Finished with Côtes de Genève and perlage, the B31 is chronometer-certified, ensuring precision and reliability.
