Breitling's ultimate pilot's chronograph - designed for the journey. In 1952, Willy Breitling created a wrist-worn chronograph with a circular slide rule, providing pilots with all necessary flight calculations. Two years later, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) chose it as their official timepiece. The "navigation timer" - or Navitimer - was officially born. The AOPA, the world's largest pilots club at the time, counted nearly every American aviator as a member. As the go-to choice for pilots during the golden age of civil aviation, the Navitimer was also popular among airline captains and aircraft enthusiasts alike.
