Made to move between the waves and the waterfront. The Superocean Heritage is no ordinary sea watch—it never was. When Breitling first launched it in 1957, it took a different tack from other dive watches of the era. The Ref. 1004 (a sleek time-only piece) and Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated dive chronograph) weren’t just about exploring the underwater world—they were about looking good doing it. The spear-and-arrow hands, anodized rotating bezel, and naturally sleek proportions made it a favorite of stylish adventurers who lived for the sea and the scene. Today, that philosophy is still at the core of the Superocean Heritage. It’s got the soul of the 1950s, but designed for today.  The latest Superocean Heritage builds on everything that made the original distinctive—and sharpens it. The collection introduces the B31 automatic movement, Breitling’s first exclusive three-hand manufacture caliber. A ceramic-inlayed bezel adds exceptional scratch resistance, while integrated mesh-metal or mesh-rubber bracelets fit snugly against the case, secured with folding clasps for a clean, watertight finish. A discreet date window at six o’clock and the original signature hands—arrow for hours, spear for minutes—ensure legibility and balance, above or below the surface.

About Breitling

Founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Breitling has dedicated over a century to the pursuit of high-performance timekeeping. The brand became a pioneer in the development of the modern chronograph, with Willy Breitling famously inventing the second independent pusher in 1934—a design that remains the industry standard today. Breitling is intrinsically linked to the golden age of flight, serving as the official supplier to the Royal Air Force and global airlines throughout the 20th century. This aviation heritage is headlined by the legendary Navitimer, which features a circular slide-rule bezel designed to help pilots perform complex in-flight calculations. Beyond the skies, Breitling is celebrated for its robust divers' watches, like the Superocean, and its commitment to "all-purpose" luxury with the Chronomat. Every Breitling timepiece is a COSC-certified chronometer, ensuring extraordinary precision and reliability. At IJL, we are proud to offer this collection of "instruments for professionals" to those who seek a bold, technical aesthetic paired with impeccable Swiss engineering.

Breitling 5-Year International Warranty

As an authorized retailer, IJL provides timepieces backed by Breitling’s international warranty. Watches equipped with a Breitling Manufacture movement receive a five-year guarantee, while all other models are covered for two years. This manufacturer’s warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship. In accordance with standard practice, it does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or water damage resulting from misuse or a failure to perform required water-resistance tests every two years. By choosing your Breitling at IJL, you ensure your timepiece is supported by the brand’s rigorous standards for precision and durability.
