As a part of all six moon landings in history, the legendary OMEGA Speedmaster stands as a true icon of space and embodies OMEGA’s pioneering spirit.

In this 44.25 mm model, the Speedmaster’s connection to the Apollo 8 mission is commemorated through the blackened movement. The main plate and bridges, laser-ablated to resemble the moon’s surface, are visible through the skeletonized black anodized aluminum dial, showcasing both the near and far sides through the caseback.

Displayed on a perforated black rubber strap with a yellow rubber interior, the entire timepiece is crafted in black ceramic. It features a varnished yellow chronograph seconds hand and a laser-engraved tachymeter scale on the bezel, filled with white enamel. The small-seconds subdial (patent pending) also boasts a grade 5 titanium hand shaped like the Saturn V rocket, achieved through laser turning for a 3D effect, with colors applied using white varnish, ablation, and laser blackening.

The OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869 powers this specially decorated movement, while the caseback engravings pay homage to the historic Apollo 8 mission with inscriptions like "APOLLO 8, DEC 1968", "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON", "WE’LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE", and "CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER."

About OMEGA

Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, OMEGA has evolved from a modest workshop into a global symbol of precision and pioneering spirit. The brand earned its name from the revolutionary 19-ligne "OMEGA" caliber introduced in 1894, a movement so advanced its parts were globally interchangeable. This commitment to technical excellence propelled OMEGA to the world stage, leading to its appointment as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games in 1932—a role it has held for nearly a century. OMEGA’s legacy is defined by extraordinary milestones: the Speedmaster became the first watch worn on the moon during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission, while the Seamaster has served as the trusted timepiece of James Bond since 1995. Beyond its cultural fame, the brand remains at the forefront of horological innovation, introducing the friction-reducing Co-Axial escapement and the rigorous Master Chronometer certification. Today, whether through the elegant Constellation or the refined De Ville, OMEGA continues to blend its rich heritage with cutting-edge materials and anti-magnetic technology, offering timepieces that are as much a tool for explorers as they are a hallmark of luxury.
